THE GIRL WITH THE CANDLELIGHT — INFORMATION
The Girl with the Candlelight is an ongoing contemporary art initiative by TOTTO inspired by light, the Swedish Lucia tradition and the idea of bringing light into darkness.The initiative connects art with charitable causes. Selected works and activities associated with The Girl with the Candlelight are intended to support charitable purposes as the initiative develops.The recurring figure of the girl carrying a candle draws on the symbolism of Lucia — light, hope and compassion during the darkest part of the year.The initiative is part of ArtByTotto, a digital-first art practice in which selected works may later take physical form.
